Carrying a Nintendo 64 onto an airplane tomorrow?

Do I have to take the Nintendo out of my carry-on bag and put it in its own separate bin (like a laptop) or is it fine if I leave it in my bag? I planned on wrapping it up since she's getting on in years, ha ha.
