Hide it or come clean?

So i totally ate it yesterday going down a super steep hill and experienced a lot of speed wobbles and eventually hit a crack and flew off like a freakin airplane. i slid really far and my knee looks pretty gross and i'm not sure if i need stitches. my elbow has major road rash and hurts like a *****. my hip has minor injury and has skin taken off like my knee and elbow. i also have a big bruise and cut over my abs. i'm a girl btw. i'm 14 and i don't know if i should hide my injuries fro my mom or not. the only people who know about it is my friend ashley who was there and called her dad for help to pick us up because i was bleeding a lot. we wrapped it up in gauze and then i changed the bandages today and i'm scared to tell my mom. reason being she'd never let me skate again and i'm pretty sure she would yell at me for not telling her yesterday. she hasn't noticed anything because all i've been wearing is sweats and sweaters. i know she would be mad, but my knee is really torn up, you can't see bone, but the cut and scrape is pretty deep and idk if i need stitches. any advice on how to treat my injuries, and if i should tell my mom?

Well you don't have to install any apps for a diary thing. iPods come built in with a "notes" application which lets you type notes/memories etc. It's pretty convenient and the notes can be shared with all of your friends. I looked up this diet called THE PALEO DIET, which is basically meats,veggies, nuts and fish, but i really dont understand it, so if I come up off of fried foods, potato's, beans, starch, bread,rice, noodles,pasta and cereal and work out regularly i will lose weight? i used a BMI calculator and it said i am obese for my height and weight. i am 194 pounds and I'm 5"6. my BMI is 37.3 ...and what about cutting back on sugars as well, using splenda or truvia? do you reccomend i make my own dink out of blended fruits,with no added sugars?

Babys neck is bleeding?

My baby is quite the chunker. She gets bad heat rash under her neck. I've tried putting baby powder, A&D, & Destin on it & it doesn't help. Now its so bad its raw & bleeding a little (not much, I have to wipe her neck with a baby wipe to see it.) I've also heard corn starch, vaseline, and Aquaphor can help. Why did my car SUDDENLY feel like there was a resistance on the wheels?

I drive a 2003 Acura RSX, front wheel drive, with a manual transmission, and today after getting my food for lunch my car suddenly felt like there was a resistance holding it back from moving and accelerating as easily as it usually does. Also it felt like there was a resistance against the steering and the brakes seemed to engage quicker than normal. It has continued to drive like that since then for the like 30 more miles I had to drive that day. Before anyone tries to tell me I had the parking brake on, I'm not an idiot the parking brake was off and hasn't been used for 4 days and I rode with the windows down and never heard any screeching or any abnormal noise period and while driving and when I was stopped I never smelt anything unusual either. I have a 2nd degree burn on the top of my wrist/forearm.The doctor has me covering it with silver sulfadiazine and wrapping it up for the next week,until my next visit.Am I going to be ok lifting boxes at work? How should I dress for my college freshman orientation?

My parents want me to go nice and pressed (even starch in my clothes and wearing pants). I insist I'll be ok wearing casual clothes (shorts and high school shirt) because it looks like I'll be moving often throughout the two days, so I want to be comfortable in the heat. My dad said to treat it like a job interview, but I don't think so much stress should be put into this, since I'm just meeting staff, touring the school, and registering for classes and dorms. OH MY GOD. There's 21 school days left and I'm FREAKING OUT. Because right now I have a 65% in both English and French and I'm SUPER nervous. As in some of my hair was falling out (no joke) and I've been working my butt off. French is getting extremely difficult because our French teacher is teaching us about verbs. He doesn't stay on topic with us about verbs, he keeps moving from talking about verbs to learning about clothes and having to jot down all that stuff. Netgear N600 Installation HELP!?!?

Ok I'm good with computers but not so much routers and modems and gateways and such.....I followed the cd instructions perfectly they even show you what to do that part is fool proof. The router cd than says we determined you use a static ip please type in your Default Gateway, DNS Servers, IP Adress and Subnet....I went into cmd prmpt did ipconfig /all wrote them all down jotted them in there and it constantly says internet connection failed after about two mintues of tryen to connect....Any other suggestions on what i should do or any other ways to find my information maybe i have the wrong ones..?

My cat eats and drinks but gags?

My cat is eating and drinking, so I don't think there's anything that serious going on. However, he occasionally gags throughout the day. I think it's just a hairball, but he's currently hiding under a corner table. He's been walking slower and is keeping his tail tightly wrapped around him. I do have a new cat, who's a kitten, and he's been adding a lot of stress to the other 2 cats that I have. The other 2 cats are both around 13 years old. Also, when he's sitting down and some one sits next to him, he sometimes randomly lashes out at them. He's still semi active in the sense of that he will move around and jump up, but the entire thing seems kind of forced. All the time, he keeps his tail tightly around him, though. He kinda seems a bit depressed, but I'm not sure if he actually is or if I'm just putting feelings on for him. Any idea what this could be? Hey guys, so i have a secondary 3 (grade 9) math exam tomorrow and we are allowed our cheat sheets which is basically a paper where we can jot down notes from the whole year to use during the exam.So i have done mine but I am wondering something to put on it. Basically lets say I have to find the volume of a house which is built up of a rectangular base prism (base) and a rectangular base pyramid (roof), and the question asks something like how much paint will it take to paint the entire house if it costs...14$ for each....100 liters of paint. Now if i say my total volume was 15,789m3, how would i calculate how much it would paint i would need and how much it would cost to purchase that much paint? Sorry if the example is a bit off, this is off the top of my head. But if anyone knows what I'm talking about and could give me a formula or something that would work for this, or even a better example with an answer, please help.

Hooked up car cd player and it doesnt work.?

So I bought a new cd player and when I took out my old the wire plugin didn't match my new one. So I looked at each set of wires and I cut off the old plugin. I grounded the black wire with the metal piece to a screw inside my dash. Then I split the same wires of each set and twisted them together and then used electrical tape to cover them. There were some extra cords but I had no where to hook them up so I wrapped them up so they wouldn't just be open inside of the dash. I then plugged in the power (or antenna) not sure which one it was but it fit my new cd player as well. I then put my dash back together and screw in and plug back in everything I had messed with in order to get to my cd player. I turn my car on to see if my cd player works and I here it make a noise (the cd player itself) but it didn't come on. No lights, no sound, nothing. What did I do wrong? How do I make it work??

For some reason I always had a non stop motor. I can sit down and focus on a task for hours at a time if I put my mind to it. It helped me during school but life after graduation I find it extremely inhibiting. For example, I would be reading an article and something in it will catch my eye. Then I'll devote the next 2 hours researching it and jotting down notes about it. It's crazy. This is why I drink so much now to clam me down. If I don't take depressants or drink I am able to function on 3-4 hours of sleep per night. It's like I am on meth 24/7 even though I never take any stimulants or drink coffee. I need some ideas to make my tack purple...?

So, I am going to a show this weekend, and it is in remembrance of a young girl who died while riding. very good, but after one read its seems more descriptive of her environment than of her character and when you have to start talking abt her character with "julia was an intuitive girl...." it seems very blunt and in complete contrast to the description of her environment which flows like water. you are very good at description of the surroundings, use that to bring out the character. the character development seems very blocky, merge it with the rest of the text. when u describe the grass or the bushes bring out her thoughts abt how she believes there are secrets hidden behind them, in them/it and how when the wind blew she wanted to follow it to see where it went to see perchance where it began,< this is just a crude example to describe her curious character, her determination, start it off smoothly, ease into the character. ( i hope this helps somehow, i would want to read further)

I've been doing my own little diet for the past 4 days, wanna try a week to see how it goes?

So I've been jump roping everyday, like 100 jumps. And all I eat is like Eggs for breakfast, no seasoning. Turkey dogs(no bread, just ketchup) and spinach for lunch, and Brocolli and a meat for dinner. Sometimes I dont eat the breakfast. I eat 2 or 3 times a day. I dont eat any starch items. Do you think I could possibly lose weight? I havent been to the gym since I started 4 days ago, i just want to see how it goes, but after the 7th day I'm going to continue this diet if it works, keep jump roping and go to the gym every night too. I'm 13 and i had some doubts when i was 8 when i realized the NORAD Santa was animated. Guilt and Anger - my dog died after getting neutered?

My dog was 12 yrs old. I brought him in to get him groomed(which is attached to vets)before I collected him they asked me to go in and see the vet. She said he was in pain and 'had' to have the operation to get neutered. He had lumps around his anus which bled sometimes or he scraped his bum along the ground. I knew that sometimes he was in pain and this was on my mind to bring him in. When she said this the lump in my throat. But I felt she was the vet and she knew best. So I said id think it over. Thing is I asked all my family n they were not really interested(family split up) although my dad said to leave him, but dad was sometimes old school mean so didnt really listen to him. I decided to go with it, they assured me they'd be watching him the whole time on a drip giving him oxygen etc..this didnt happen...My instingt told me he wasnt able for such an op, wasnt being walked enough and too old, however i felt id no1 to ask and felt silly asking people not everyone values animals(how v silly of me and this makes me so mad with myself) the night before the op i still wasnt sure - i told dad he was gonna decide when he came home from the pub - but unfortuately my brother turned up drunk banging on the door - he wasnt allowed in the house as he was too abusive etc..he wrapped on the door for hours until eventually we had to let him in - there was a row, my dog went into my bed for safety and peace - he trusted me. the next morning after v little sleep - i ordered my brother to bring the dog in for his app with the vet. I reluctantly went to work - v nervous ringing my brother to say im not sure about this but at like 10am that morning - they called me to say he was dead!!!!! I fel like the ground had been removed from underneath me - the worst thing that ever happened to me and iv had alot of bad things happen to me but i loved this dog to bits. he was walking and still eating he may have been in pain sometimes but no need to kill him. WHY DID THE VET HAVE TO REMOVE HIS TESTICLES SHOULD SHE NOT HAVE KNOW HE WAS TOO OLD FOR THIS! The fabric gets really stiff. It's almost like a heavy duty starch or something that you put on or dip in and attach it to the item your putting it on.

It appears that you hang around older, more mature people to shelter and protect you from the bullying that you have dealt with. I could see how people may be intimidated by you because you seem like a person who has their life put together and knows what they want and how to get it, but I would not call that a bad thing. I think you should try branching out and talking to more people and showing them that you aren't this perfect and prim person. Let a few of your shortfalls show; it will be hard, but worth it. ok so in science today, i had a test. i found one question really difficult, and my study guide right there in my desk. so, i decided to cheat. unfortunatley, we had a sub today, and our sub actually watches us. she caught me, and called me out in front of the whole class. the kids forgot quickly. after the sub walked back to her desk(with my study guide) i saw her jot something down. i have never cheated before, and i think im gonna be in a LOT of trouble come monday. i even changed my answers after i got caught cuz i felt bad!! i just want some advice on what to say when i get in trouble, and what to expect when i get in trouble!!!! Hi. I just went on a diet where I can't eat any grains (and yes, quinoa, millet, etc... are grains). I have been basically living on salads, and I am tired of them. I want some new recipes that I could try and make that adhere to all my restrictions. My restrictions are: No grains (not even healthy ones like oatmeal, rye, rice, quinoa, wheat, sesame, hemp, barley, kamut, polish wheat, egyptian wheat, buckwheat, sorghum, millet, amaranth, tapioca, potato, and bran), no starches (i.e. potato, tapioca, etc...), no dairy, no soy (which pretty much rules out all dairy substitutes as well), no xanthan gum (or any other corn products), no meat, and no sugars (includes hidden and artificial sugars, honey, and maple syrup. The only sugar substitute I am allowed to use is Stevia). Basically, I can eat veggies, beans, nuts, fruits, squash, and coconut. I especially want some bread recipes or something of the sort. Need ideas for a good grade 10 Science project?

You're probably taking biology if you're in 10th grade; chemistry if you're really smart. You could do a cell project or extraction of DNA. It's been almost 4 years since I've taken bio so forgive me if I don't have any good ideas.

Yes, natural selection is showing itself through obesity, but since the entire populace is consuming these processed foods, I think we will adapt rather than be brought to the point of disease and infertility because there will be incentive to cure and treat. Keep in mind that with every decade the lifespan of an average human is actually increasing not decreasing, and has been increasing even after we began to consume Doritos and Twinkies and Newports. This is because of modernized medicine. So natural selection has no place in our society anymore.

Okay, so I was working today and this cute guy came in. I work in a bookstore, by the way. I need help with my ear stretching!?

I am currently at 5/8 and I have silicone plugs in. Ive had them in for 3 months maybe 4 and they completely healed so tried last week to put in 3/4 silicone tunnels and my ears felt like they were in fire! My head started to pound and my jaw was even hurting. This ha never happened before and I don't know what to do. My ears are back to normal now and I've been massaging them with neosporin and jojoba oil daily and I'm very eager to eventually get to an inch. What should I do to get to 3/4? Can I use the tape method with electrical tape on my 5/8 plugs? And how many wraps will it take to get to it? Please help! Thanks in advance!

How to deal with your boyfriend being gone?

My boyfriend was unemployed for a year of our relationship...finally he found a good job a few months ago.My boyfriend works ALL the time and he works difficult hours. He works over time all the time and works super late at night so half the time he ends up staying at his really good friends house that he works with because his friend lives right down the street from his work whereas he lives a good 30-40 min away from his job. Basically its been hard getting used to him not being around as much as he used to be, we agreed that the two days a week he has off of work are "our" days together. yes its been hard only seeing him twice a week but when we do see eachother its something that we both realllllly look forward to and we do really fun stuff when we spend time together. Well....we finally started getting into the groove of his work schedule but yesterday he was over at my house and he got a voicemail from another job. My boyfriend then explained to me that his friend/co-worker that he goes home with after work sometimes has a friend that needs work done to his boat and needs the wood and a bunch of stuff re-done on the boat and wants my boyfriend and his friend to help re-store the boat. The only upsides to this job is that he'll be making GOOD money and that this retsoring the boat job is only going to be a 3 month project max. My boyfriend explained to me that he feels that he really needs to take this job to plan for our future. So now he will be working two jobs and we really wont see eachother! I can tell he really doesnt want to take the job but he needs to do it. My boyfriend didnt go to college so in his words he "needs to start working his *** off if he ever wants to get anywhere". I know that he's upset like I am but its hard because as of right now I am out of school because its summer and I'm not working as of recently so i have A LOT of free time so it makes me sad for him to not be around and miss out on things. Like I said, he's voiced to me many times that it makes him very sad that he misses out on things with me but he wants to "man" up and work work work so he can start a life for us. I know he has good intentions but Its just hard for me to wrap my mind around that he wont be around a lot. I've talked myself through it and we've had good supportive conversations about it and he;s trying to make me feel as comfortable as possible with it. I just know that we wont be able to see eachother a lot and he wont have his phone most of the time because he's working so if I ever want to talk to him or I am upset or anything he wont be there for me to just call.....Im going to have to wait until he's available to talk. Any advice?? I know he's given me as much as advice and support as he can but I would love to hear any ideas anyone has that would make this time apart easier!

Why does dog shake? Please help.?

Hi, we foun a dog today and it was covered in ticks and wrapped in barbed wire. We saved him, and got all the ticks off of him and bathed him. But he's got cuts on his legs from The barbed wire. I was wondering why the dog constantly shakes and why there is white stuff coming out of his private area. Plus were taking him to the vet Friday.
